The Only Time the 3-Day Rule Doesn’t Apply

It is worth noting that the automatic 3-day review window only applies to residential contracts prepared by licensed real estate agents. If you are dealing with a private sale (For Sale By Owner) or a commercial property transaction where an attorney drafts the initial contract from scratch, there is no automatic three-day window—the terms are negotiated directly from day one.
